Internationally known Christian speaker and evangelist Bob Lenz will be the guest preacher on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 10am. Bob is also well known among NJ District youth and youth workers, as he has been a speaker at numerous LCMS National Youth Gatherings. All are invited to join us as Bob brings the Gospel message in a unique way. In lieu of his usual speaking fee, Bob has agreed to a door offering to support his ministry. Checks can be made payable to Life promotions. For more information on Bob and his ministry, visit www.lifepromotions.org. |
CHRISTMAS FLOWERS – The Flower Committee will be taking donations to help decorate the Church for Christmas Services. Your $20.00 donation will be used to cover the decorating expenses of the trees, wreaths, poinsettias and any other decorations needed. You may make donations of $20 for each bulletin listing. Decorations will remain during the holiday season. Once the poinsettias are removed from the Altar, they will be available in the Narthex to take home.
Listing your name and whether your donation is a Thank Offering or Memorial. Deadline for orders will be Sunday, December 17th. Days for Girls will meet with a Workshop on the 2nd Saturday of each month (unless otherwise posted on the calendar). We will meet from 10am - Noon in the Sow & Sew Room. If you are interested in joining us - or just curious about what we do at a Days for Girls Workshop, send us an email at unionnj@daysforgirls.org. Days for Girls is a great volunteer opportunity, not limited to adults, but also for Middle School and High School students that may need volunteer hours. Sewing experience is not necessary for you to attend a workshop. There are many other tasks that go into the production of a Days for Girls Feminine Hygiene Bag. Watch for upcoming Workshops on the church calendar. What is Scrips?
Scrips is a popular fundraising program that many churches and schools use to raise money. The Church Council has decided to try this program to raise money for the rest of the funds needed for the HVAC projects we did a few months ago. If successful, we may decide to continue this program indefinitely. You are spending the same amount of money and at the same time, Redeemer makes money! There is no limit to how much money Redeemer can raise with this program! How can YOU help?
Fund Raising Opportunity - All donated books are picked up by New Legacy Books and are scanned and sold over the internet. Redeemer will receive a percentage of the sale. This is a great way for us to raise funds for special projects and missions. Guidelines for acceptable and unacceptable books. We accept books in good, readable condition that have an ISBN barcode label on the book cover. Hardcover, paperback and textbooks are all welcome! We CANNOT accept books that do not have an ISBN barcode on the cover. We also CANNOT accept encyclopedias, library reference, magazines or water damaged books. If you have any questions, please contact us at www.NewLegacyBooks.com |
