Week 3: The Wounds of Murder
Join us for the By His Wounds We Are Healed special service for Week 3 of Lent. In this service, we remember that the wounds of murder and violence we committed against our Lord were laid on Christ on the cross. Our Lenten observance reminds us that though we have been brought low by sin, our Lord will bless us with new life in him through the cross.
The New Flower Chart for 2021 is Available in the Narthex
Please consider having flowers placed on the Altar one Sunday during the year. You can reserve any Sunday during the year - with the exception of Sundays during Lent - February 21 - March 21.
To donate flowers:
1. Check the flower chart for availability.
2. Fill out an index card with necessary information to appear in the bulletin.
3. Place the index card in the envelope (available) with your payment of $30 and leave it in the flower box.
If you are unable to attend church, you can order flowers by calling Helen Diana in the church office - at 908-232-1517 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org
Flowers can be taken home after Sunday worship.
It is strongly suggested that you take home your donated flowers and either give them to someone to brighten their day, or keep them for your own enjoyment.
In past years we have had volunteers distribute the flowers to shut-ins, but we no longer have the volunteers to do that, in addition to the fact that many facilities do not allow fresh flowers, so there are many weeks that the flowers remain in the empty church and go to waste.
Thank you for helping beautify the Altar with your flower donations. - Karen Rinaldi - Altar Guild
